Fernando Sá Motta was born in Belo Horizonte, capital of Minas Gerais state.
A self-taught in designer and sculpture, he often states his career began as a child, as he says he “was born drawing and creating”. Graduated in industrial design from the School of Design at the State University of Minas Gerais in 2000. Since then, he has been featured in national and international publications and exhibitions, including in Milan, the USA, Israel, and South Africa.
He has also been recognized with a series of awards, such as Prêmio Samsung de Design, Prêmio Artefacto de Design, Brasil Design Awards and Anglogold Auditions. He is involved in several branches of product design, with an expressive presence in the high-end furniture market. His motto is “trends must be created, not to be followed”.
