Since 2015, we have been involved in the conceptualization of the Rosewood São Paulo hotel project, following the client’s specifications, Philip Stark’s office, and the entire conceptualization team.
The columns of the Drop-off, which is the hotel’s entrance, were also a challenge, and we were able to develop six columns with over 1.20m in width. We went with a hotel team to the Amazon to select the column pieces.
We suggested the best options regarding the use of Amazonian wood, both in architecture and decoration. So far, we have delivered more than 450 pieces, some of them with huge challenges, such as the bar, where we developed a piece with over 12 tons.
Another huge challenge was to bring a bathtub weighing over 3 tons to the Jean Nouvel-designed tower’s rooftop, which will provide one of the most beautiful views of São Paulo.
