The Porã Table was created in 2011. The name comes from Tupi Guarani* and means “beautiful.” The idea here was to create a curved table, to the point where the wood seems bent. Since Amazonian wood is very strong and hard, bending is impossible. Therefore, the cut was made imitating a bent, inspired by the indigenous people of the region who bent wood into canoes by setting fire to it.
